In 1958, John Severson turned his surfing passion and photography hobby into a
popular surf movie series. His films included SURF, SURF SAFARI, SURF FEVER, BIG WEDNESDAY,GOING MY WAVE and PACIFIC VIBRATIONS. To accompany the films, John designed a series of strong graphic posters that were immediate hits. Posted on telephone poles and in store windows, they were quickly "collected" by stoked surfers. Surviving originals are sought after by collectors. Enjoy a blast from the past. |
